GOLF OUTING DIBANGI GOLF RESORT PADA 23/09/09

Mengikut SMS yang diterima daripada RHM pada 21/09/09 jam 9.44 malam ‘ Jom kita Berhari Raya

diBangi Golf Resort. Tee off jam 0815. No handicap cut’. Walau pun masih dalam mood raya

lagi, sebenarnya saya tak lah terperanjat sangat, kerana saya akur ada members yang tak

sabar sabar nak balik ke gelangang kesukaan kita iaitu ‘golf course’. Saya menolak tawaran

kerana masih berkarat lagi tetapi saya telah dimaklumkan seramai 12 members telah menyahut

cabaran untuk bertembung. Mendahului senarai ialah President, diikuti dengan Deputy

President. Tiga flights kesemua nya.Walau pun RHM menyatakan tiada ‘handicap cut’ saya

difahamkan handicap baru yang diguna pakai. Kalau tidak golfer macam Dato Nawi tak nak main

lah.Oleh sebab masih raya lagi, coffee house pun tak beroperasi lagi, tetapi atas timbang

rasa management dapat lah kopi dan roti. Jadilah. Daripada perut kosong sekurang kurang nya

dapat alas perut.
Sabelum ini saya bertembung RHM di rumah Dato President pada hari raya pertama. Perbualan

berkisar kepada golf. Bila ditanya bila nak mula main semula. RHM dengan sugul memaklumkan

bahawa golf set dia hilang. Hilang dikawasan depan rumah dia diMutiara Damansara. Siapa

pulak nak ambik golf set disitu. Mungkin golfer kote. Anyway, saya menawarkan set saya yang

satu lagi untuk dipakai. Jadi apabila mendapat SMS nya pada 21 hb tu saya pun menyiapkan set

saya untuk diambil. Sehingga kepagi 23 masih tak diambil juga. Dua kesimpulan, samaada dia

tak main atau dah jumpa set nya. Semasa saya menawarkan set saya dia ada bertanya berkenaan

set itu. Saya nyatakan bahawa set tu jenama John Riley, di custom made untuk saya

diMonterey, California pada tahun 1990.Monterey berdekatan dengan Pebble Beach golf links.

Memang banyak tumpuan golfers disana. Dia kata dia akan contact saya, tapi taka de. Saya

difahamkan dari Dato Hashim Yahaya rupanya RHM ni dapat pinjam set Dato Nawi. PING. Patutlah

dia tak pandang set saya. Kalau bezakan standard Dato Nawi dengan saya memang lah jauh. Saya

mempunyai set tu sejak tahun 1990. Selama 19 tahun dah, handicap masih ditahap tu. Tak turun

turun. Customise pulak tu. Masih tak improve. Set Dato Nawi, PING. Memang terkenal digunakan

oleh pro golfers yang handal handal belaka. Jadi antara pertimbangan yang mungkin dia

rumuskan, baiklah PING.
Mengikut ulasan selari yang saya terima, RHM menjadi ‘Champion’ pada hari tu. Set pinjam.

Kedua jatuh pada anak Dato Shafiee dan ketiga Dato Nawi. It was a good outing. Lunch was on

ala carte. Macam macam diorder including ayam goring. Bila time bayar ‘over budget’. Jadi

atas semangat Setiakawan dan semangat Hari Raya duit yang patut dimenangi oleh pemenang

digunakan untuk menokok tambah membayar lunch. Everybody happy.
Tak habis cerita lagi. RHM sedang memujuk Dato Nawi untuk jual set PINGnya tu kepada dia,

tapi saya dimaklumkan Dato Nawi masih berat untuk melepaskan set nya tu. Satu, for

sentimental reason dan keduanya, ini saya agak aje. Takut senjata makan Tuan. Baru satu hari

pakai dah pukul semua orang. Kalau dah biasa macam mana gak nya. Sabelum ni RHM dalam

comment diBlog telah meminta supaya handicap Dato Nawi 17, RHM 22. Minta stroke sebanyak 6.

30/09/09. Prepare yourself. Strive to do better then the last time ‘pre Ramadan’. Practise

Nak ajak berangan sikit. Sesiapa yang memenangi FedExCup akan memenangi USD 10 million. Kedua USD 3 m, ketiga USD 2 m sehingga lah ke tempat 144 akan mendapat USD 32,000. Pemenang pertama FedExCup ialah Tiger Woods pada tahun 2007. Pada tahun 2008, Vijay Singh memenangi nya, mungkin kerana Tiger Woods cedera dan tidak bertanding dalam beberapa pertandingan yang telah ditetapkan. Kedudukan sekarang ini memasuki ‘Playoffs Finale’, ialah Tiger Woods – 2500 point diikuti dengan Steve Stricker – 2250 point, Jim Furyck – 2000 point, Zach Johnson – 1800 point, Heath Slocum – 1600 point dan Padraig Harrington – 1400 point ditempat keenam.Tempat ke30 ialah John Senden dengan 210 point. Vijay Singh tidak termasuk langsung dalam playoffs ini. Point dia tak cukup. Favourite saya Fred Couples dan Sergio Garcia pun terkeluar. Hanya 30 pemain yang akan bermain di playoff terakhir diEast Lake Golf Course diAtlanta, Georgia, USA. Playoffs ini akan bermula pada 24 hingga 27 September 2009 diGolf Channel Saluran 815. Secara kasar nya diMalaysia ia akan bermula pada 25 Sep 2009. Kalau tengok perbezaan masa selama 12 jam antara kita di Malaysia dengan Atlanta, tee off pertama nya pada jam 1145 pagi pada 24/09/09 bermakna jam 1145 malam pada 24/09/09 kita.
Yang menariknya sesiapa sahaja boleh memenangi pertandingan ini. sebab selepas the BMW Championship baru baru ini point yang didapati pemain telah di-reset menjadikan yang pertama dengan point 2500, kedua 2250 dan seterusnya. tetapi yang berpeluang terbaik sekali ialah Top 5 yang berpeluang cerah untuk memenangi Cup ini,Yang bawah dari kelima, mempunyai peluang yang tipis. Hanya boleh mencuba memperbaiki kedudukan dengan harapan dapat menangi duit yang lebih.

The FedEx Cup is a championship trophy for the PGA Tour. Its introduction marked the first time that men's professional golf had a playoff system. Announced in November 2005, it was first awarded in 2007 after a NASCAR-like points race. Vijay Singh is the current champion. This competition is sponsored by FedEx.
The PGA Tour has adjusted the rules around the FedEx Cup in each of the two years since its introduction in 2007. Each set of changes was introduced to address issues that arose the previous year, particularly with the playoffs portion of the FedEx Cup.
In February 2008, the changes were designed to allow more golfers a chance to improve their positions on the points list as the playoffs progress. The changes involve a tightening of the playoff reset points and awarding more points to playoff participants. This is effectively a penalty on those players that skip a playoff event.[1]
In November 2008, the changes were designed to help ensure that the championship would not be won until after the final playoff event. This resulted from the fact that Vijay Singh had accumulated enough points through the first three playoff events in 2008 to guarantee that he would win the Cup by simply finishing the final event.[2

The following are the criteria for the 2009 season.
For the first portion of the season, the "regular season", from January through the latter part of August, PGA Tour players can earn points in each event they play. The number of points for winning each tournament varies from 250 to 600, depending on the quality of the field for each event, with the typical tournament awarding 500. Fewer points are awarded to other players who finish each tournament, based on their final position.
The ultimate goal is to be among the Top 125 Points Leaders following the final event of the regular season. Only those players who are regular full-time members of the PGA Tour will earn points. A non-member who joins the PGA Tour in mid-season will be eligible to earn points in the first event he plays after officially joining the Tour.
After the final event of the regular season, the top 125 players participate in the playoffs. The number of points for winning each playoff tournament is 2500 - five times the amount for a typical regular season tournament. Points won in playoff events are added to those for the regular season, and the fields are reduced as the playoffs proceed.
After the third playoff event, the top 30 players move to the final event. Points are reset at that time, so the #1 player has 2500 points, the #2 player has 2250 points, down to the #30 player who is given 210 points. The goal is to ensure that any of the 30 players has a chance to win the FedEx Cup, but give the top players the best chance, with all of the top five players assured of winning the FedEx Cup by winning the Tour Championship

Once the final 125 playoff qualifiers are set, no alternates will be allowed. It is possible for any player among the final 125 (then 100, then 70) to skip a playoff event prior to the Tour Championship, but if he did he would risk his standing on the points list, and this could potentially result in him being eliminated from the playoffs.
For the Tour Championship itself, only the Top 30 Points Leaders after the BMW Championship will be eligible. If for any reason a player among the Top 30 does not compete in the Tour Championship, he will not be replaced.

The player with the most points after The Tour Championship will win the FedEx Cup itself and $10 million of a $35 million bonus fund. The runner-up gets $3 million, 3rd place $2 million, 4th place $1.5 million, 5th place $1 million, and so on down to $32,000 for 144th place. However, in 2007, the money was placed into their tax-deferred retirement accounts, not given in cash. Players under 45 are not able to access any 2007 FedEx Cup bonuses (as opposed to prize money earned in the tournaments themselves) until turning 45. They can invest their bonus in any manner they choose, and once they turn 45, can choose to defer payment until they turn 60 or play in fewer than 15 PGA Tour events in a season. Once a player chooses to take payments from his fund, he will receive monthly checks for five years.[3][4]
Because of possible legislation affecting deferred retirement plans, in the wake of business stories that speculated that Tiger Woods could amass a $1 billion retirement fund if he won the FedEx Cup six more times, the PGA Tour announced a change to the payout system effective in 2008. The top 10 finishers will now receive the bulk of their FedEx Cup bonuses in cash up front; for example, the 2008 FedEx Cup champion will receive $9 million up front and $1 million in his tax-deferred retirement account. FedEx Cup bonuses to finishers below the top 10 will continue to be paid solely into the players' retirement accounts.[5]
The winner of the FedEx Cup will also receive a five year exemption on the PGA Tour. This mirrors the exemption for the Leading Money Winner title (PGA Tour Exemption Category 8), but it may not have any practical implications. Players have almost never relied on the Leading Money Winner exemption, as they are usually exempt by other means. With the exception of the Tour Championship, which awards a 3-year PGA Tour exemption, winners of FedEx Cup playoff events will receive only the standard 2-year exemption.
Beginning 2008, any player among the Final Top 30 FedEx Cup Points Leaders after the Tour Championship, if not exempt by other means, is placed in PGA Tour Exemption Category 18, which is just above the category for the Top 125 Official Money List leaders.
Remaining FedEx Cup qualifiers for the next year will come from the PGA Tour's Official Money List. This particular list will be finalized after the PGA Tour Fall Series, a group of official PGA Tour events that follow the Tour Championship.
As always, the top 125 players on the money list will be fully exempt for the following year, with other golfers either eligible through other exemptions or needing to qualify by other means (e.g. "Qualifying school").

LESSONS ON GOLF

Handicap saya sekarang ini ialah 22. Habis rendah turun 20. Dah berkecimpung dalam sukan ni sejak tahun 1976. Sudah 30 tahun masih tak improve. Maybe too late to improve. Tapi masih tak mengaku kalah untuk memperbaiki 'game' saya.
Kepada semua ahli, mungkin ingin mencuba cara cara baru. PGA USA ada mengeluarkan beberapa lessons yang akan saya cuba turunkan kedalam blog kita. Yang saya tertarik ialah teknik teknik putting. Saperti ungkapan ' Drive for show, Putt for dough'. Ini bermakna, bagaimana baik pun kita memulakan game kita dari tee box, melalui fairway hingga ke green, yang penting nya ialah 'putting'. Secara lumrah nya kita akan sampai ke green dengan pukulan yang sama, kalau berbeza pun satu atau dua stroke, tetapi bila diatas green, memasukkan kedalam pin itu yang bagitu penting. Tiger Woods selalu nya memenangi pertandingan melalui putt nya. Kalah nya pun melalui putt nya. PGA Championship baru baru ini beliau kalah dengan kehebatan putt oleh Y E Yang.

Saya ingat hendak menunggu sampai Hai Raya baru poskan handicap kita terbaru, tetapi nanti members semua suspense dan tertanya tanya pula semasa hari raya. Menjamu selera pun nanti tak puas. Jadi, daripada ternanti nanti disebarkan handicap terbaru untuk Saudara semua.
Saya harap handicap ini akan digunakan untuk pertandingan kita berikutnya sehingga diubah. Samaada turun atau naik adalah tertakluk kepada ‚performance’ Saudara selepas ini. Seharusnya semua golfers akan mencuba mendapatkan handicap terendah.Ini menunjukkan kecekapan dan kebolehan Saudara dalam ‚pengurusan padang’ (course management).

Mengikut RHM, dah ada satu flight. Nak 2 flight lagi. Sila jawab SMS nya sabelum midnight tomorrow ie malam 17.09.09. Itu deadline dia aje. Saya percaya masih boleh talipon lagi.
2. Dato Nawi dalam cadangan diBlog kita ada mencadangkan 'Northern Tour' pada bulan October. Pergi keSg Patani, Bukit Kayu Hitam dan satu lagi over 4 days. Take it up with him.
3. Handicap baru masih belum saya poskan kedalam Blog kita. Masaalah teknikal. Akan diposkan secepat mungkin, tetapi saya biar Saudara semua enjoy the raya first, baru lah nengok handicap. Saya mengagakkan ramai akan tersenyum dan segelintir yang akan bersedih.

MAJLIS BERBUKA PUASA DI PERDANA VILLA RESTAURANT PADA

Masuk masuk je, Hj Rahim Kasim menegur dan berkata ‘ Apa ni John, asik cerita tu aje’. Bertanya lah saya ‘cerita apa ni Ji’. Alah blog kita tu, asik cerita tu aje. Baru saya sedar dia maksudkan blog kita ni. Semenjak diletak ‘online’ takde cerita melainkan cerita coretan diSurabaya, cerita di Impian Golf Club pada 19 Ogos dan cerita tentang ‘SetiakawanGolf Handicapping Systems’.Rupanya Mike Weir kita ni melayari juga blog kita. Kalau nengok comments, mula mula macam sorang je yang melayari nya. Dato Nawi. Asyek dia yang comment, lepas tu Dato Hashim,lepas tu Dato Amin dan terakhir Dr Khalil Ramli. Ini bermakna memang ada yang melayari tapi tak masuk comments lagi. Bagus lah tu. Saya pun menjawab kepada ‘Mike Weir’ bahawa cerita ada apabila kita berjumpa, samaada di golf course, dimajlis perkahwinan dan juga majlis serupa ‘Majlis Berbuka Puasa’ saperti diadakan pada malam tu. Saya juga menokok bahawa cerita juga ada apabila ‘comment’ di masukkan kedalam blog kita. Berceritalah dalam ‘comments’ atau hantar cerita kat saya, saya akan ‘postkan’. Baru ada cerita. So, saya harap lah banyak lagi ahli ahli masukkan comment.
Berbalik ke Majlis Berbuka Puasa. Apabila Saudara RHM kita memaklumkan bahawa acara ni akan diadakan di Perdana Villa, saya ingat di Dewan Perdana Felda. Tahun lepas kami kesitu. Dato Khalid Saad organise untuk Club 12/68. Squad kami lah tu. Tetapi dimaklumkan bukan tempat tu. Cuba juga saya melayarinya dan mendapat website orang lain saperti Holiday Villa, Perdana Capital dan Perdana Car Services. Yang terhampir sekali ialah Cik Sherina punya website menceritakan tentang pengalaman nya ditempat tu pada tahun 2008. Dah tahu lah saya selepas tu. Sempat juga berjumpa Dato Hashim sabelum tu. Timbul cerita pasal majlis berbuka puasa ni. Dia kata ‘Raden has booked the whole place. Its only for SetiakawanGolf members. Dalam hati senang lah kita berseronok sebab we have the place to ourselves. Maknanya bising pun tah pe, nak berucap pun tak mengganggu orang, kalau anak, oops silap, cucu nak berlari sakan pun tak mengganggu ketenteraman orang. Tak sedar bahawa tempat tu besar juga dan ramai patron patron lain.
Yang significant ialah tarikh yang dipilih – 9 haribulan 9 tahun 2009. 999. Kalau kita terjemahkan macam Emergency – panggil Polis, Ambulans atau Paya Briged. Dalam bahasa Cina tertakluk bagaimana disebutkan KOW KOW KOW maknanya ‘bendaalah lelaki’. My Chinese interpreter mention it as ‘totey’. Lama juga nak decipher perkataan tu sehingga menggunakan bahasa Inggeris. Baru dapat tahu. Juga 999 dimaksudkan ‘Longevity’ atau Long Life. Ini lebih significant. Whatever the significance nya it sure was an auspicious date. Kalau nak sekali lagi tahun depan untuk 101010, atau Cap Cap Cap.Maknanya kita tunggu tahun depan.
Bila sampai je, dah mula mengorak senyum. Habis, kalau kita dah booking ‚the whole place’ memanglah kita akan jumpa kawan. Tengok tengok muka ‘tak familiar’, lepas tu orang yang tak dikenali lagi. Baru lah saya sedar rupa rupanya majlis tu melibatkan kumpulan kumpulan lain. Menyedari hakikat tu, saya dan isteri pun menghala ketempat yang nampak macam main hall. Jengok kedalam tak nampak ‚Setiakawan’ pun. Selepas bertanya dan menyebut ‚Setiakawan’ baru lah saorang staf tunjukkan tempat. Lega hati bila nampak members lain.
Bersalaman lah kami. Saya bersalaman dengan members. Seronok. Rindu rupanya. Rindu kepada ‚camarederie’ yang timbul tiap tiap hari Rabu. Rindu kat kehebohan semasa breakfast, melihat flight details, mencari flight partners, bertanya khabar – dan lepas tu – tanya tentang ‚dapat berapa stroke and what is the stake. Tengok juga ‘complexion’ dimuka. Kebanyakanya pucat aje. Tak main golf lah tu. Tapi ada juga yang muka dia ‘tanned’. Ini muka kena panas. Ialah, mungkin pergi kekebun mencucuk tanam. Tapi macam Aziz Norman tu, sah dia ada meluangkan masa di golf course. Bila ditanya, confirmed, dia ada pergi main. Dia kata dia main tee off pukul 3.00 petang boleh selesai jam 6.00 petang. 18 lubang pulak. Dia juga menyebut tak ramai orang - boleh main cepat. Bermakna sempat berbuka lah tu. Dalam hati tertanya juga golf course mana dia main. Boleh selesai dalam 3 jam, atau dah ‘give’ kat 3 ‘putter length’. Atau kalau makan lambat pun tak ‘makroh’, sebab dah makan lebih awal lagi. Nampak badan, tegap macam dulu. Whatever it is ‘seronok dapat jumpa dia dan kawans lain.
Dalam bersalaman tu berjumpa lah saya dengan Dato Presiden, Dy President dan our advisor Tan Sri Hashim Meon. Salam salam, bersalam dengan saorang jejaka lengkap dengan baju kebangsaan. Baju biru samping songket kemerahan. Rupanya Zainal Yan. Kacak nya dia. Macam nak pergi majlis kahwin. Lama tak jumpa sebab menghilangkan diri. Tapi nampak sihat. Alhamdullilah. And he was his old self, chatting away, ada je cerita. Ada juga muka yang tak saya kenal. These are all family members of our ahli. Dato Nawi bawak satu battalion (10) including his cucu ‘Amir’. Saya dengar Dato Nawi bawak 2 cucu. Sorang lagi tak sempat saya kenal. Dato Hashim Yahaya juga dengan satu company (6) including his cucu ‘Aira’. Mengikut RHM kesemua nya 52 pax. Ada juga ‘can’t make it’ due to other commitments. Really a big group.
The spread was big and good. The proprietor obviously did not hold back to provide us a really sumptuous and tasty meal. The food were spread into 3 areas. Almost surrounding where we sat. We have a choice of going to any area. Most crowded was the area in front. Itu pun area yang kita nampak dulu. Pandai juga proprietor, placing the grill in the front. There was lamb, burung puyuh berempah, udang goring and otak otak. The impact of such sitings was that we were already drooling with anticipation on inhaling the aroma. Maklum lah ‘berpuasa’. The roast lamb was also available towards the back, closer to us actually. I took a tour before azan to look around and saw the dishes such as kueh teow goring (prepared fresh in-situ), all sorts of noodles (either soupy or fried), yong tau foo-type of crab, shrimps, clams and abalone plus kangkong. You have a choice of normal soup or tom yam style. There was also pecal. Nasi and all the lauk you can think of. Ikan bakar included. For dessert there was kueh mueh, ABC and ice cream. Ice cream - this reminded me of our lunch in Nilai Spring – dulu, when we really enjoyed the ice cream. Now they don’t have such a package. Cut costs kot.
Our majlis berbuka puasa was ‘buffet style’ which means, it is costed as such for all you can eat. It was RM 55 per pax. The quite high rate as they say is that you are paying for the food and the ‘ambience’. This reminded me of a story that the former president of the Philippines, Eric Estrada, complained of the high bill on completion of a meal was told that it was for the food and ambience. He said, yes I had my food but I did not order ‘ambience’.
Through the years and many such experience in taking buffet meals the lessons learnt were, not to eat the heavy stuffs first. The proprietor would always have rice, roti canai, all sorts of bread and noodles. Once you touch these dishes, a large segment of the stomach would be filled. There would not be much space left for the others. Our stomach shrink during puasa. That is why those who is undergoing puasa would normally look trimmer. Ini Dr Khalil kena confirm. Anyway, go for the light ones first like salad, grilled stuff like lamb, burung puyuh berempah, vegetables. Kalau ambik lauk jangan ambik nasi. Ratah je. Then progress to slightly heavier dish like yong tau foo or noodles, followed by desserts. Kalau tak kenyang juga then go for nasi and roti. In most buffet meals we would end up ‘bloated’.
Saya duduk dimeja RHM dan Dato Zainal. Dato Zainal ni slim orang nya. Saya nampak dia ambik burun puyuh berempah. Dia kata sedap. Saya pun tertarik dan lepas tu pegi ambik dish tu, Memang sedap sebab Dato Zainal kata rempah dia tu masuk kedalam. Ini kes marinate lama lama lah tu. And its soft. The roast lamb was just chopped into small pieces (to have more I suppose) but it loses the texture of being soft. The sea food yong tau foo tasted good but the crabs were skinny. Kurang isi. Tangkap masa bulan terang lah ni or is it bulan gelap. Kurang isi. The shrimps and abalone were nice. Dato Zainal nampak saya ambik burung puyuh, again went for burung puyuh. It must really have ‘hooked’ him. Dia orang Yong Peng, ingat suka otak otak rupanya suka lauk berempah.
Bila dah agak selesa, saya pun duduk kat meja Dato’ President. Macam macam cerita timbul. Tan Sri Hashim Meon yang baru sampai dari melaksanakan Umrah menunjuk phone baru dia yang dibeli diJeddah. Dalam RM 220 kalau tak silap. Tapi application macam macam termasuk boleh guna 2 sim card. Bermakna 2 nombor dan tiap tiap nombor lain bunyi. Ada application ‘SMS’ dan internet kalau tak silap’ Dalam hati, ini cukup bagus. Mungkin Tan Sri nak bagi penerangan lebih lanjut tentang ini. Dato Nawi pula cerita tentang pengalaman nya mendapatkan maid dari Kemboja. Macam macam dugaan dia lalui. Yang ketaranya dia berpeluang melihat keadaan ‘tempat tahanan sementara imigresen’ yang masuk melalui KLIA telah ditahan dan ‘dibiarkan bagitu saja’ oleh pehak Imigeresen kita. Mungkin Dato Nawi nak bercerita melalui ‘comments’ atau hantar cerita kat saya untuk saya ‘postkan’. Dato Presiden ada menyebut tentang Piala Tan Sri Hashim Meon untuk SIM dan juga Piala Presiden. Tak dapat tangkap apa yang dia kata. Ini saya akan cuba dapat cerita sebenar untuk ‘dipostkan’ kelak.
Sabelum majlis bersurai sempat saya bertanya Datin Tini sama ada dia ada tengok gambar dia dalam blog Setiakawan. Rupanya belum lagi. Ini Dato Amir tak buka lagi lah ni. Kalau masih ada yang ragu ragu nak masuk blog kita pergi ke http://setiakawangolf.blogspot.com.
Selesai acara, kebanyakan members pergi menunaikan solat terawih sementara yang lain beredar balik kerumah masing masing.
My compliments to RHM for arranging the ‘perjumpaan’ and in getting a lot of response. It has been about 3 weeks since we last met. It was a very joyous occasion and lots of laughter. SETIAKAWANGOLF HANDICAPPING SYSTEMS

The SetiakawanGolf Handicapping Systems that has been used since inception has been revamped. The new system is as stated below and will take effect for games organized immediately after the Hari Raya Aidil Fitri of 2009. It will be known as the ‘SetiakawanGolf Handicap'. The system would be as follows.

Handicaps will be calculated utilising the USGA Golf Handicap Calculation. The Formula is as shown below:

1. Adjusted Gross Score - course rating x 113 (standard slope) / course slope rating.

2. Handicaps will be reviewed at the end of every month utilizing the two lowest scores of the month.

3. Immediate handicap cuts will be made to those who post minus scores as follows:

-3 cut 1 stroke
-6 cut 2 strokes
-9 cut 3 strokes
-12 cut 4 strokes
-15 cut 5 strokes

Note:
1. Handicap cuts due to cash winnings is now abolished.
2. Adjusted Gross Score is calculated using the equitable stroke control table shown below:
Handicap Maximum score per hole allowed
0 to 9 double bogey
10 to 19 treble bogey
20 above quadraple bogey"

Cerita dibawah ni patutnya dah diposkan lebih awal lagi, tetapi saya tak dapat berbuat demikian kerana kurang fakta. Bertanya lah saya kat beberapa kawans, tapi memakan masa sikit. Impact bulan puasa kot. Anyway, disampaikan berikutnya cerita kita.

PERTANDINGAN GOLF PADA 19 OGOS 2009

Setiakawan Golf mengadakan sessi mingguan nya pada 19.09.09 di Impian Golf Club diSaujana Impian. Seingat saya ini kali pertama kita bermain di golf course ini. Pemenang nya ialah:

a. Bahawa sessi kali ini merupakan sessi terakhir sebelum memulakan ibadah berpuasa. Kita akan memulakan semula pertandingan golf kita selepas Hari Raya Aidil Fitri.
b. Sistem Handicap Setiakawan telah diubahsuai mengikut keputusan Jawatankuasa pada 17.08.09. Sistem baru akan diposkan selepas ini.
c. Beliau mengucapkan kepada semua ‘Selamat Menyambut Kedatangan Ramadhan’ dan Selamat Menunaikan Ibadah Berpuasa.
d. Rancangan Berbuka Puasa untuk ahli SetiakawanGolf akan diaturkan. Tarikh akan ditetapkan.
e. Rancangan Rumah Terbuka Hari Raya akan didakan dirumah Tan Sri Hashim Meon. Tarikh akan ditetapkan.

Dato’ Johar juga telah mengambil kesempatan untuk memaklumkan bahawa beliau akan mengadakan acara perkahwinan anaknya pada 23 Oktober 2009 dan menjemput semua ahli SetiakawanGolf untuk menghadirinya. Kad jemputan akan diedarnya secepat mungkin.

Acara Makan Tengah Hari dan Pemberian Hadiah selesai pada jam 3.00 petang.
